Damayan Centre in Manila:

The Damayan Centre Project cares for many children, and WFA donations assist the lives of the whole family.

The funds are used for the communities’ development in areas or health, education and self-sustainability. Youth are provided with leadership training courses, skills training in arts & crafts and cell phone repair to generate an income.

The parents are provided with micro-loans for small business ventures such as massage therapy, hairdressing, making shampoo, doormat making etc as a source of income to become self-reliant in addition to nutritional information, family planning and marriage enrichment courses.

Due to the location of the Centre, typhoons affect the area and often flooding occurs. Relief is provided to ensure the redevelopment of buildings and equipment.
